As many of you know the DC forums have an ARK award that they give out to people who have done something nice to another user. I was thinking what if we had something similar for this forum? Our's would be for users who have completed IOUs in a positive timely manner. Pros- You can look up an user you want to trade with to see if they're reliable.
- An incentive to fulfill IOUs.
- A nice thing to get for doing something you should be doing anyway
ConsRewardsJust as the ARK thread has a badge it would be nice to have one as well. However there are also other things we could do, such as: - Badge
- Donators who volunteer to offer a nice egg.
- ?
Of course in order to have a reward we need someone who can make a badge or donate. Volunteers? XD If anyone has crits or thoughts I'd love to hear them

What do you consider a "timely manner" for IOUs? An IOU for a 2nd Gen Halloween would be out for almost a year, but it at least has a set limit.
For a lot of IOUs the time table is set by the dragons, not the breeder.
I've seen couple people complaining on the chat because IOUs weren't filled fast enough *for them.* In both cases, they got what they were owed.
I see nothing wrong with a reliable trader list, but that's a far cry from ARK.

I see what you mean and I certainly don't want it to be a duplicate of ARK (though I do love it). This is just something similar for our forum....
Since my definition wasn't very well defined what is your opinion of a good trader?

Lets just put it this way, I don't think I've run into very many bad traders.
I've met a few traders I think are annoying (which has more to do with their complete lack of capitalization, punctuation, and excessive use of chat speak than their actual trading ability).
All of them have delivered on their promises thus far.

If y'all on staff want to do an ARK, that's a different matter, and I can help with graphics for that. But for now, let's just stick to the list. Now, a "timely matter..." I'm hoping IOU traders will make agreements for time frames to give eggs back. But enforcing this would be wrong, and there are going to be circumstances where breeding fails or something, so we could just...persuade others to do it by announcements and notices (Reminder: It's a good idea to set a time frame).
